Requirements
All TLC-Licensed Drivers are required to complete this 6-hour renewal course at a TLC-APPROVED education provider as part of the renewal process. The Renewal Course is a requirement by TLC in order to renew your license. It does not cover the renewal fee, that is a separate cost.
TLC License Renewal Application Process
1. Complete both required courses:
- TLC Renewal Course
- Defensive Driving Course
2. Renewal fee
- Find a drug test location
3. Drug Test
- Confirm contact information and pay renewal fee on LARS
4. Submit any required documents
- Submit any required documents online on TLC UP Portal

Class Schedules
The TLC Renewal Course is a 4.5-hour course.
Monday- Friday: 9 AM- 2 PM or 3 PM- 8 PM (CAN VARY CALL TO SCHEDULE)
Saturday: 10 AM – 3 PM (ONLY)
